William Morris started designing wallpaper fabrics in 1862 though he did not start printing and selling them until 1864. Every design has a tribute to plants or flowers delicately woven around and in between themselves to create a unique and beautiful pattern. Morris’ designs were quickly admired throughout the industry and by those who appreciate art. This pattern of ‘Seaweed’ is laced with depth and contrast between the colors in the leaves and petals of the plant and the solid background that highlights the images.
