Rodney grew up in Santa Domingo Pueblo in New Mexico. He learned jewelry making through the teachings of his Grandfather Lupe Pena and his mother Nestoria Coriz. As a child he learned traditional techniques using beads, shells, inlay and metalsmithing by watching both hard at work. Rodney now uses these techniques to create exceptional one-of-a-kind items unlike any other artist. He has won multiple awards at markets and is featured in many museums around the country.
