About Imperial Hotel Cabaret China Frank Lloyd Wright designed every aspect of his architectural commissions - from the building to the carpets, furniture, and dinnerware. For the "Cabaret" dining room of the lmperial Hotel in Tokyo, Japon (1913 - 1922, demolished 1968), Wright designed a festive pattern of brightly colored, overlapping circles that evoke images of overflowing champagne bubbles for the dinnerware.
