Hieronymus Bosch Playing Cards

The surreal imagery in continues to fascinate viewers 500 years after its creation. Full of naked figures, fantastical creatures, oversized birds, and giant strawberries, the triptych depicts humanity’s fall from grace: God introducing Eve to Adam in the Garden of Eden, followed by the many sinful temptations of the Garden of Earthly Delights, and culminating in the torment of damnation in Hell. The images featured on these playing cards are details from the three panels.
