For over 100 years, Gondola Pastels have been carefully handcrafted one by one by craftsmen in Kyoto, Japan.
The 36 colors in this set are an ideal assortment of basic shades and easy-to-use colors, particularly for landscapes. The lightweight but strong paulownia wood box helps to control humidity as well as protecting the pastels (and giving a sense of luxury). There is a black cardboard sleeve over the wood box.
