Joe Mace is a Diné (Navajo) silversmith, healer, and storyteller. Joe has been making traditional silver jewelry for well over 30 years. The Mace family is known for their intricate feather designs as well as hand-crafted stamp work, unique to Diné jewelry. Each piece tells of the importance of the feather motif within Diné culture as well as its significance to all Indigenous people. The eagle feather is believed to carry traditional prayers and within Mace's work, they symbolize freedom and a symbol of protection.
This pin is made of sterling silver. Due to the handcrafted nature of Mace's work, each individual piece might vary slightly from the piece pictured.
