During his 56-year artistic career ( 1948-2003), Denver native William (Bill) Joseph created hundreds of sculptures, paintings, prints and drawings and high-profile public art commissions in eight states. His 61 commissions alone [incomplete number and need further research] comprise 277 separate art pieces.
He was also a lifelong educator, teaching at the Denver Art Museum (1957-1988), the University of Denver (1950-1952) and Loretto Heights College (1957-1988), making him an influential artist in the Rocky Mountain Region.
